After completing  a BA in Political Science with a minor in Constitutional Law from Post College, LIU in 1972, he then graduated Magna Cum Laude from John Marshall Law School in 1975 and was admitted to the Georgia Bar and to practice in all Superior, State, Magistrate, and Probate Courts of Georgia.
